Role
This team focuses on the collaborative development of healthcare analytics and predictive models based on complex operational, economic and statistical data to quantify the competitive performance of business segments, evaluate potential operational changes, and design new approaches and methodologies, Major initiatives of this organization are to evaluate internal clinical programs and develop predictive models to guide evidence-based medical management practices.
This candidate should have related healthcare experience preferably in a payer environment although candidates with Healthcare System experience will also be considered. Candidate qualifications are:
MS/PhD in Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or comparable degree
Three-plus years experience with program evaluation and predictive modeling design and implementation
Fluent use of SAS, Excel
Experience working with developers, management to embed analytics in early stages of program design
Experience creating forecasting, trending, risk stratification, benchmarking, and predictive models of population health and program efficacy
In depth knowledge of healthcare and administrative claims, ie: lab, Rx, etc?
Knowledge of CMS data, census data, public health data, is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills-specifically the ability to explain analysis results and predictive modeling to the leaders outside the Data Analytics department.
Experience with Python, R, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, or other Big Data analytics is a bonus.
