Sales & Marketing Coordinator Job Opening in Itasca, Illinois - Purpose of the Position
Effectively support all sales & marketing initiatives of the company
Oversee short-term marketing & branding projects including (but not limited to) product development & launching, Social Media accounts, tradeshows & events, artwork & catalog creation, and more
Assist sales team in arranging, planning for and executing cost-effective presentations & events to key accounts
Position Reports to Marketing Manager & General Manager
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with all new product creation, design, development and rollout for the US market
Ability to benchmark company products versus competition (stores checks, pricing recommendations, product launch strategy etc.)
Work with Marketing Manager to update, develop and design all catalogs, fliers, product packaging and digital content required
Help grow and maintain a strong social media campaign based around by communicating and reacting to end-users on a daily basis
Maintain and grow relationships with artists contracted out to create material and content for Social & digital media platforms
Responsible for keeping all product sales tools (Catalog, price list, item sell sheets, website content, etc.) updated and current
Oversee the day-to-day upkeep on external product listings and databases such as in addition to various specific customer portals and listings
Ensure key account customers and Reps are informed about product availability issues, new product launches, product substitutions and discontinuation plans
Work closely with the Sales team to prepare for customer meetings and presentations by creating the necessary presentations, and assisting in the follow-up from those meetings
Handle all new-item submission forms required by clients and verify that existing items are correctly set up
Retrieve sales & marketing data from SAP/BO and manipulate such data in way that is immediately usable and relevant to sales organization
Assist sales team (when needed) in managing trade-show and conference shipping/travel arrangements, samples and pre-event form submissions
Participation in a limited number of trade shows, sales meetings & group meetings
Expectations & Requirements
Ability to learn, manage and master a product catalog containing 500+ unique items
Capable of both working on long term projects independently with company employees around the world
Completion of all presentations, sales reports and spreadsheets at least one working day prior to required submission date
Ensure that all electronic product submissions, agreements, updates and bids are completed in a timely manner
Timely, effective and accurate communication with key account customers, Reps and employees within the Maped SAS Group
Selection Criteria
Must be detail-orientated, organized, dependable and capable of managing multiple long & short-term projects at once
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office ? especially Excel and PowerPoint
Some experience with Adobe Creative Suite (CS6/CC) products such as Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator
Strong background or understanding of all major social media platforms
2+ years of Marketing experience required
Additional Desirable Qualities:
Bachelor?s Degree in Media or a related field
Knowledge of SAP and Business Objects
Familiarity with products and customer / retail environment (traditional and/or mass market accounts)
Previous experience within the school or office products field
Experience or interest in product photography & photo editing
Fluent/comfortable with French or Spanish
