Staff Accountant Job Opening in New Berlin, Wisconsin - Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing is a rapid growing manufacturer of high performance carbide cutting tools that serves the automotive, agricultural. aerospace and medical industries.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting and verifying information
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files: reconciling accounts.
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of produces.
Coordinate physical inventories and monitors cycle count program.
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided to determine effects on cost.
Planning, Studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Provide assistance , as necessary, to the Controller.
Protects organizations's value by keeping information confidential.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of proven Accounting duties in a Manufacturing Environment
Bachelors degree in Accounting is preferred
Must have a good working knowledge of full cycle accounting and a sound understanding of accounting principles.
