Our company, NYC Sports creates innovative corporate sports programs, sports leagues, youth summer camps and year-round events. Our customers include nearly every major bank, Amazon, Google, Facebook, Uber, and Twitter to name a few. Our youth programs work with star athletes including Kristaps Porzingis, Zach LaVine, Devin Booker, Clyde Frazier, and CJ McCollum.
Over the past three years, we have created a suite of technologies and services to help sports and activity providers with everything it takes to operate a successful sports or activity business. About the Sales Associate Program
Our sales associate program is a unique program designed for highly motivated, competitive individuals that are passionate about sports and willing to go all out to get a great start to their sports career. The program is highly selective and it provides an accelerated path towards gaining a wide range of valuable experience and skills that will help you get off to a great start to your career in the sports industry. You will have extensive exposure to sales, business development, program operations, and marketing for both our core SMB operations and our sports tech startup. You will have unlimited opportunity to learn and advance every day and you?ll be a part of a tightly knit team working together towards a shared mission. Sales Associate Primary Role
You will be working directly with an experienced account executive, helping them connect with providers that can benefit from our technology and services. Depending on your strengths and interests you may be focused on either a sales or business development role.
Walk in the Shoes of a Provider
As part of your first year in the program, you will work 15 hours/ week as a manager on site at events and programs offered in Manhattan. Programs may include a combination of our 30+ events/year at the Barclays center, youth sports programs, and corporate sports program. This experience will allow you to gain exposure to program operations and it is invaluable as a way for you to absorb the experience and pain points that program providers go through. Everyone in the company has had this experience and we believe it is a critical piece of our company?s DNA. This experience is also an opportunity to bond with team members while working actively on site at sports programs and events.
Experience
We strongly prefer a minimum of 1-3 years of full-time sales experience but exceptions can be made for extremely talented recent graduates with past sales experience.
Salary
$25,000-$35,000 + Commission

Location
This job will be based in our Hoboken office, which is steps from the path train and right next to a large park on the Hudson River.
