Property Accountant Job Opening in Irvine, California - Property Accountant
Property Accountant will be responsible for full cycle accounting role for a portfolio of properties within the organization and will serve as the financial expert for all required analysis and reporting on the portfolio both internally and to the clients of the organization Property Accountant Job Duties:
Prepare and enter journal entries to the general ledger, review and update recurring journal entries and ensure accuracy prior to posting.
Analyze monthly GAAP financial statements, and prepare all supporting schedules as required
Perform daily or monthly cash management responsibilities, (wire transfers, cash projections and weekly priority selection of invoices)
Calculate and process monthly management and accounting fees
Approve invoices and the monthly mortgage payables
Audit and ensure accuracy of subsidiary reports and reconcile to general ledger (Rent Roll, AP Aging, Open Status Report, and Security Deposit Ledger)
Assist with preparation of portfolio annual budgets; prepare interim and annual audit work paper packages
Enter cash receipts
Perform bank reconciliations
Special projects SALARY: Depending on Experience

Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Accounting required 3 to 5 years of property accounting experience within Commercial Real Estate Proficiency with Excel and hands on experience with AppFolio and MRI STATUS: Full Time
