SuperStar Accountant/Office Manager Job Opening in San Francisco, California - JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are a small, established software company in growth mode doing business in multiple states and countries. We are seeking a SuperStar Accountant / Office Manager responsible for all aspects of financial management, including accounting, multi-state and federal regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures to support the day to day operations of the company.
We seek an enthusiastic self-starter with a positive attitude that is able to handle complex and sometimes stressful situations. Our position calls for a fast learner who is able to manage multiple tasks independently with strong attention to detail. In this position, it is important to exercise good judgment, confidentiality, and initiative. QuickBooks Desktop experience is required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Full charge bookkeeping, including: Accounts Payable, timely invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
Track the financial aspects of multiple projects
Maintain customized cash flow projection spreadsheet
Bank reconciliation
Multi-state and Federal Regulatory Reporting
Prepare financial statements
Prepare tax returns paperwork for our CPA
Preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances
Ensure compliance with various state?s tax requirements and filings
Research assignments relating to accounting and finance
Assist with benefits administration
Assist the Operations team as needed
Must work daily in our downtown San Francisco office
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
7+ years of experience as a bookkeeper and/or financial administrator
Advanced skills with QuickBooks Desktop with 5+ years of experience
Knowledge of ADP Payroll System
Ability to utilize Google Search effectively and understand legal terms
Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Experience working for an Enterprise Software company a big plus
Must be a team-player with excellent communication skills and strong time-management
Ability to work in a high pressure, deadline oriented, and fast paced environment
Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
Proven strategic planning experience
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong work ethic, including the following qualities: organized, flexible, reliable, goal-oriented
Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standard a plus
