Senior Software Engineer Job Opening in Kent, Washington - Our client, a SAP software solutions extensions partner serving businesses of all sizes worldwide across a spectrum of industries by managing their master data, contracts, pricing, rebates and incentive programs, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in a direct hire capacity.
The Senior Software Engineer manages the application software life-cycle for complex business applications with little or no guidance. Responsibilities include conceptual and detail design, development, testing, deployment and documentation of applications within a production environment. Lead project management functions include task assignment to other developers. The Senior Software Engineer leads the development and maintenance of the technology environment and departmental systems, and in the programming, testing and documentation standards. Information Systems and has moderate responsibility for project and issue management. In addition, there is limited responsibility for business development and client relationship management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Researches and develops new technologies and best practices
· Leads development effort and assists in project management for new development efforts with assigned accounts
· Acts as a technical point to other personnel in the Software Development Department
· Acts as an point for other department personnel in accomplishing project goals
· Provides assistance and mentoring to other personnel in the Software Development Department as required
Required Qualifications
· This position requires a Bachelor?s degree AND a minimum of 7 years of technical programming experience, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
· Expert level of proficiency developing end-to-end business applications using the recent versions of the following tools and languages:
· TSQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
· Framework
· (Web Forms, MVC)
· C#, SQL, JavaScript
Understanding of System Development Lifecycles including Agile Development (Scrum or Test-Driven Development)
· XML/SOAP/WCF/Web Services
· Client side libraries (any of or similar: jQuery, , )
