Job Type: Full Time The Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT) exists to innovate, plan, manage and direct consolidated information technology services for all of Colorado state government's executive branch. DUTY STATEMENTS: Located at the Governor's Office of Information Technology's Enterprise Application Services Division performing the majority of duties related to the Colorado financial Reporting System (COFRS). * Analyze statewide and departmental operations and procedures to design, modify, and implement financial systems to meet the State of Colorado's financial and management reporting requirements. * Provide leadership/project management as delegated by the appointing authority on the COFRS system including financial and technical expertise on Accounting quality assurance standards for the COFRS system. * Consult with Office of the State Controller, Department Accountants, Executive Managers, etc. to meet Statewide and Agency objectives. * Create project plans for initiating cost and impact estimates including financial management system designs, test plans, and project deliverables. * Provides direction to agency accountants, department controllers, the State Controller's Office, and internal management. * Provides specialized training to accounting staff on financial management systems and the complex functionality of the COFRS system. * Performs related duties as assigned or required. Copies of transcripts MUST accompany your application materials in order to be considered for this position. Four years of professional accounting experience, which MUST have included all of the following elements: * Three years of planning and designing financial systems and analyzing technical information. * One year of experience consulting to financial business units on the functions, operations, and necessary changes to financial application software systems. SUBSTITUTIONS: A Bachelor's degree in accounting may substitute for the Bachelor's degree and the required coursework. Progressively responsible professional and/or technical accounting experience which provided the same kind, amount and level of knowledge acquired in the required education, may substitute, on a year-for-year basis, for the bachelor's degree including the required coursework, but not for the four years of specific experience.
