ROLE:
Rusty's Weigh Scales and Service Special Application team requires a technician to learn functional disciplines within the scale industry; in addition, creating end-user software applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learn basis of computerized scale controller and computer programming.
Troubleshoot issues and provide direct user support.
Scale repair and trouble shooting.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This position has a travel requirement of up to 50% outside Lubbock, TX with company supplied vehicle. Being on call is a requirement .
QUALIFICATIONS:
Highly self-motivated person and possess the ability to complete assigned tasks.
Must have knowledge of programming languages (, c#, and MSSQL).
Experience with computer networking and protocols.
Must be able to work on a team or as an individual contributor.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (fluent English required).
Experience working with serial RS-232, USB, and network communications.
Experience writing application documentation.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Applicant needs to be capable of occasionally carrying up to 100 lbs. in weights. (50 lbs. in each hand.)
Person needs to possess the desire to continually learn.
Person needs to have ability to analyze mechanical devices, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair units in a field environment.
Must have and maintain a clean driving record .
Must be able to pass pre-employee drug screen, and random drug and alcohol testing
