Magento is looking for a Senior SDET Engineer who will be responsible for developing new automated test strategies and frameworks in addition to creating, implementing, and automating testing in support of software test requirements. This person will evaluate and develop the automated test infrastructure. The Senior SDET Engineer will responsible for developing solutions to support Quality initiatives.
Primary responsibilities include designing and spearheading quality tools implementation (framework, metrics, and analytics). In addition, this role will also work very closely with Engineering to incorporate evergreen methodologies to tooling and processes ? including continuous person will demonstrate innovation, leadership, and mentorship skills in addition to possessing a strong technical and programming/test automation skill set. Primary Job Responsibilities: Will be responsible for driving the Quality vision for Magento.
Job responsibilities for this role will include, but not be limited to: · Evaluating and refactoring current MTF solution· Evaluating and implementing new technologies and processes for the Quality organization· Increasing visibility of Quality activities via Quality tools· Implementing new reporting and analytics tooling· Engaging with Magento Community and inclusion of Quality best practices is required.· Coach and mentor QE Engineers on test development and execution efforts· Research, Develop and/or Recommend tools to assist QE Engineers in test creation, execution and reporting· Utilize tools such as code coverage tools to assess the coverage of test suites and make recommendations for additional test cases· Develop monitoring of test execution across multiple code branches and multiple platforms
Job Requirements: ·
Minimum 6 years of experience in a SDET role· Fluent in object-oriented programming with minimum 4 years of use of OO languages, (Java, C#, PHP) for development or QA purposes, PHP preferred· Experience testing complex, multi-threaded, and multi-component products· Experience with API testing or integration· Experience with load and performance test frameworks and tools· Experience with web automated testing using frameworks such as: Selenium Webdriver, Watir, , etc.· Extensive experience in a scripting language such as: Groovy, Python, Ruby, JavaScript· Strong working knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases· Comfortable building and maintaining test frameworks from scratch using tools such as: xUnit, TestNG, Mocha· Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development tools and methodologies: Cucumber, Jasmine, Squish, etc.· Innovative, analytical approach to solving complex test problems and performing troubleshooting· Excellent knowledge of SDET/QA methodology & Software development processes (Agile , Scrum)· Track record of leading complex test projects in a hands-on way and mentoring others in test automation design and implementation· Extensive experience with various types of testing including unit, system, integration, user acceptance, regression, usability and end-to-end testing· Strong ability to work in fast-paced environment and ability to multitask with ease is essential to the success of this position· Strong verbal and written communication skills
