Remke Industries is a growing electrical manufacturing company located in Wheeling, Illinois. We are looking for a qualified individual with strong skills in month end GL account reconciliation and analysis. Having a small finance team makes cross training critical, combined with having the skill set and flexibility to take on other departmental challenges is key to our success.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO HAVE YOUR RESUME CONSIDERED
(Each of these requirements MUST be met.)
5 years accounting experience
Experience in all phases of Accounting with emphasis in GL Account Reconciliations and Accounts Payable
Able to make non-routine choices within established precedent and with limited supervision.
Higher level of computer skills, including mastery of the internal accounting package and strong spreadsheet skills.
Microsoft Software Skills ? Word and strong Excel spreadsheet skills including formatting, basic formulas & functions, sorting & filtering data and pivot tables.
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks based on their priority
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
College or equivalent Accounting course work
U.S. Citizen
PLUS REQUIREMENTS
Advanced Microsoft Office Software Skills
Payroll processing experience 1+ years
Epicor Business System software
Accounting experience in a manufacturing industry
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare month end Balance Sheet account reconciliations and account analysis.
Assist with monthly trial balances and custom report generation involving intermediate levels of financial analysis.
Provide technical direction and work review to lower level accounting staff.
Prepare and review journal entries.
Maintain vendor master files.
Review and enter Accounts Payable invoices.
Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
Review and report monthly Sales and Use Tax in a mult-site environment.
Prepare other tax filings and reports as required.
Oversee employee expense reporting including Business credit card reconciliation and posting to the general ledger.
Assist in preparation of financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Assist in preparation of work papers and schedules for the annual audit.
Prepare and files company 1099?s.
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Support new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and company.
Additional projects to support the Company?s strategic initiatives.
