SUMMARY and PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Provide daily operational and administrative support to the OhioHealth HIPAA Security Program by successfully performing assigned duties and responsibilities, specifically in the areas of policy, education and communication. Participate in and support the planning, development, and deployment of the HIPAA security compliance program and initiatives. Organize and maintain HIPAA Security compliance documentation, by appropriate designation, for use and review by designated leadership, as well as internal and external oversight / regulatory entities. Promote HIPAA information security awareness through actions and meaningful and effective communications with customers, peers and leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certification, Registration, LicenseField of Study: information Security, Healthcare Compliance, Health Information Mgmt orField of Study: related field or equivalent combination of education & experience requiredYears of Experience: Must have at least 2 yrs exp working in HIPAA/Info SecurityYears of Experience: Minimum 2 yrs experience in health care KNOWLEDGE: Specialized Knowledge: * Experience with technical writing, specifically IT procedures, standards and security requirements * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Powerpoint and AccessKind and Length of Experience: * Must have at least 2 years of experience working in HIPAA / Information Security * Minimum two years experience in health care environment * Must be detail oriented * Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Must be able to work independently; retain flexibility and maintain composure under pressure * Proven ability in creating and maintaining detailed documentation, maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines is a must
