Accounting Manager Job Opening in Grandview, Washington - Indeed Hire in partnership with Powell Christensen, Inc . is looking for an Accounting Manager for their growing organization.
Scope:
This position will develop and oversee a staff within the Wholesale business unit of Christensen, Inc. This person will report to the Chief Financial Officer with continued communication to other Accounting Managers within lateral lines of the corporation and the General Managers of aligned business units.
The expectation is to be a leader and to build and maintain appropriate structure and staffing within the order to cash, procure to pay, general ledger accounting, close - consolidate - report processes as appropriate to fulfill the needs of the business unit and the organization.
Significant Activities & Deliverables:
Maintain ownership of the Dealer and Fleet Card business unit process maps
Understand, document, and implement proper procedures that allows effective accounting for the monitoring of dealer contracts, volume rebates, and co-op advertising
Maintain chart of accounts and necessary financial operations for Dealer and Fleet Card Businesses
Oversee dealer Cash management, bank reconciliation, EFT processing, as well as review and post journal entries
Prepare key reconciliations
Prepare and review monthly financial statements for Dealer and Fleet Card business units
Provide General Management with financial metrics for business unit scorecards and supporting schedules for senior management
Partner with Accounting peers, Financial Analysts, and Staff Accountants to ensure accuracy and timely financial reporting
Identify and implement a system of controls with Corporate Controller, including Grants of Authority, and common systems & processes
File state and federally required taxes and returns as related to the distribution of branded and unbranded fuel products
Other projects, as assigned

Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Accounting
Lease and contract management experience
Strong understanding of management and cost accounting principles
Supervisory experience
4+ years of experience in financial accounting
Work well under pressure and meet hard month, quarter, and year end deadlines
Highly organized with outstanding communication skills
