Financial Coordinator Job Opening in Alexandria, Louisiana - Union Tank Car Company was established in 1891, is a recognized leader in railcar manufacturing and a Marmon Group/Berkshire Hathaway Company. The new car manufacturing operation, UTLX Manufacturing LLC, is currently searching for a MBU Financial Coordinator in our Alexandria, Louisiana facility.
This position is responsible for the coordination, compilation, and reporting of financial information related to the manufacturing operations. This position reports to the MBU Controller and will work closely with all of the facilities in the business unit.
for a variety of accounting functions, to include but not limited to, overseeing the monthly close process for the division, consolidating the monthly financial statements, the annual budget process for the division, analyzes month end results, and coordinates activity with internal and external auditors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the monthly close process for the division
Consolidate the monthly financial statements for the holding company
Heavily involved in the annual budget process for each facility
Analyzes month end results and compares to budgets for each facility
Coordinates activity with internal and external auditors
Updates monthly financial information into appropriate system
Forecasting for the facilities in the business unit
Required Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or related discipline
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing accounting environment
Extensive knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Thorough knowledge and understanding of automated accounting and manufacturing systems
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills and inter-personal skills
