Windows Software Developer Job Opening in Traverse City, Michigan - Summary:
The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing desktop software for various products servicing the oil and gas industry. This position reports to the Product Software Manager and interfaces with the following groups: Analysis, Systems Engineering, Field Operations, Manufacturing and Program Management.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in the C++ and/or C# programming languages
Proficiency in RTOS/OS concepts
Ability to collaborate in the development process
Appreciation for best practices in software development.

Thoroughness / attention to detail
Oil and gas industry experience
Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
Experience with
Experience with Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration and other Agile practices
Proficiency in the Ruby programming language
Experience in embedded software development concepts
