Our engineers work with customers on some of the most cutting-edge technology being developed in the Aerospace and Defense community.
Due to continued company growth, we have an excellent opportunity available for a Field Application Engineer . We are seeking a strong self-motivated and team oriented engineer with strong technical development and a great customer service background. The position supports and develops solutions for our customer?s and their technical solutions by providing close assistance with installation, debugging, and product demonstrations; developing industry contacts and participating in technical work groups; and promoting and meeting sales goals of our industry leading ADvantage Framework software.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Five (5) years? experience or more in the following:
Experience with device drivers, PCI, VME, Linux and real-time systems
Knowledge / experience with C / C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink and system hardware
Excellent analysis ability, advanced programming skills, system protocol knowledge and I/O interfacing
Must be willing to travel and have current U.S. Citizenship
Other Major Job Duties
Interface with users within various industries to understand project technical requirements and propose technical solutions
Assist in preparing technical and technical marketing material
Perform engineering and/or software development tasks as a technical team member on sales order based projects or internally funded R&D projects
Education and Experience (minimum requirements)
B.S. in Engineering discipline (i.e., aerospace, mechanical, computer, control systems engineering). M.S. preferred .
Good verbal and written communication skills
