Assistant Controller(Construction Experience) Job Opening in Roanoke, Texas - Construction Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller
Southland Holdings is currently accepting resumes for a highly motivated professional to join our office team as an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller in our corporate office in Roanoke TX.
Staff Accountant Job Duties:
Manage the general leger, monthly closing process and preparation of timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
Management of job costs to ensure accuracy for preparation of period job cost reporting
Management of job revenue through monthly billings, change orders and collections
Manages accounting for manufacturing department
Oversee AP and Payroll
Work with additional Assistant Controllers on intercompany reconciliations
Respond to questions and issues and communicate responses to operations and other departments
Prepares various analysis and reconciliation as required by the Treasurer
Records the fixed asset additions and disposals
Assists External auditors during the Company?s annual audits
Other duties as assigned
:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance
Minimum of 10 years related construction accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills
Must have strong communication skill and be able to interface with all levels of management
Ability to manage a broad range of activities
Excellent time management and organization skills
Organized, self-motivated, ability to multi-task and work independently
Working knowledge of Timberline accounting systems a plus
