Controller Job Opening in Las Vegas, Nevada - We're ! The Las Vegas ReLeaf family is seeking an experienced and versatile Controller to join our cannabis dispensary team!
The Controller is accountable for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, budgets, general ledger, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent business experience.
10+ years of progressively responsible supervisory-level accounting experience.
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations preferred.
Advanced proficiency with cost of goods sold (COGS).
Advanced proficiency in Excel.
Experience working with an Inventory Management System.
Experience leading a small Accounting Team.
Manufacturing Environment Accounting Experience highly preferred.
Knowledge of IRS Tax Code 280 E highly preferred.
Must be comfortable working in a highly regulated industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise accounting staff under the direction of the CFO.
Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, operations, and policies and procedures.
Ensure accounts payable and accounts receivable are processed in a timely manner.
May assist with processing payroll.
Ensure bank reconciliations are completed.
Maintain the chart of accounts.
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
Issue timely and complete financial statements.
Coordinate the preparation of quarterly Board presentations.
Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
Provide for a system of management cost reports.
Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Coordinate the provision of information to external accountants for tax preparation.
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
