Cost Accountant Job Opening in Salt Lake City, Utah - Review subcontractor invoices for proper authorization and cost coding watching for anomalies and other inconsistencies, including duplicate job invoicing
Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting reports for submission to management
Conduct inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis and generate reports for senior management
Assist the Controller with suggesting changes to policies or procedures to increase efficiencies
Review rates of depreciation, labor and overhead and suggest policy improvements
Classify costs accurately
Generate weekly activity reports and analyze findings
Establish standard costs and assist in update process as appropriate
Maintain and review the general ledger construction accounts and reconcile balance sheets
Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses for changing vendors
Provide support for Field Service and Outside Plant groups
Accounts Receivable collections related to ISPs
Monthly bank account reconciliations
Coordinate scheduling of maintenance on fleet vehicles
Assist with Human Resource functions as necessary

Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or related field required
2+ years? experience in general accounting or cost accounting
Human Resource experience helpful
Experience in fiber optic industry a plus
