Gastroenterologist Job Opening in Appleton, Wisconsin - Fox Valley Surgical is an independently owned, nine surgeon multi-specialty practice, located in Appleton, WI, seeking a board certified or board eligible, and fellowship trained Gastroenterologist with training in the management of patients with inflammatory bowel disease and liver disease. The ability to perform ERCP would be welcome, but not required.
Our practice is primarily located at Appleton Medical Center, a 170 bed community hospital with most of the medical and surgical subspecialties represented on the medical staff. Appleton Medical Center is part of the ThedaCare Healthcare system, which serves Northeast Wisconsin. Our surgical group is very active in the management of patients with the full spectrum of gastrointestinal disease. All of our surgeons are fellowship trained, including two colorectal surgeons, a surgical oncologist and surgeons trained in vascular surgery, minimally invasive surgery, trauma and critical care. We perceive a need for gastroenterology services for our patients in the community and within our healthcare system and are willing to support a gastroenterologist within our practice. This position requires 6 weeks of call per year.
Appleton is a city of approximately 70,000 people, our referral area encompasses the entire Fox Valley, with a population of about 250,000 people. The Appleton schools and outlying area schools are highly ranked with many extracurricular activities offered within the school and community, which makes Appleton a great place to raise a family. It is home to Lawrence University, Fox Valley Technical College and a two year branch of the University of Wisconsin, which helps provide many cultural and educational opportunities for the community.
