Director, Quality Services Job Opening in Cobleskill, New york - The Director, Quality Services reports directly to the VP, Patient Services/CNO and provides overall direction for quality, risk management, patient safety, patient experience, Lean Projects, Infection Prevention and Medical Staff Credentialing, ensures achievement of the established quality and patient safety objectives of the Bassett Healthcare Network in fulfillment of Cobleskill Regional Hospital?s (CRH) mission and vision, actively participates with the Medical Staff and Board of Trustees, is responsible for ensuring compliance with full accreditation by the Joint Commission (TJC) and other national and state quality initiatives, verify all quality and risk related registrations, communication and reporting requirements with regulatory bodies are met, leads CRH to success with core measures, HCAHPS scores and other outcome measures, design and implement systems that result in improved patient care, improved clinical outcomes, increased work flow efficacy and efficiency, increase cost effectiveness, and ensure high patient satisfaction, and is responsible for coordinating activities related to quality with the Bassett Healthcare Network.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or related field, required.

Experience
Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience, required.

Five (5) years experience in a hospital setting, specifically in the areas of quality, safety, risk management or infection control, required.

One (1) year experience researching, , and presenting data, required.

One (1) year experience in incident investigation and , required.

Previous supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership, required.

Lean and/or Six Sigma, and Project Management experience, preferred.

Certifications:
NYS Licensed Healthcare professional, preferred.

Quality, Risk Management or Patient Safety Certification or ability to complete within 18 months from date of hire, required.

CPHQ or CPSO or CQMS, CRM, or other relevant certification required or ability to complete within 12 months from date of hire.

Skills:
High proficiency in state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations, preferred.

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate strong initiative and ability to multi-task at a rapid pace with a high degree of accuracy.

Strong time-management and organizational skills are required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to remain objective and maintain confidentiality are essential.

Must demonstrate a passion and enthusiasm for improving the culture of patient safety.

Ability to mine data and information, analyze and present results, and design corrective actions.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Ability to build rapport quickly, develop trust, sustain working relationships, and represent Cobleskill Regional Hospital positively in internal and external meetings is required.

Demonstrated success in adapting to a complex healthcare environment

Physical Requirements
General office environment with significant computer time, however, routine standing and walking is required.

Occasionally push, pull and lift objects/equipment weighing less than ten pounds.

Category II risk exposure as defined by OSHA.
