Job Description Asbestos Abatement Technician
Summary About the Job
Colorado Hazardous Environmental (CHE) is a privately held and fast growing General Abatement Contractor. Our company is currently seeking a Full Time Asbestos Abatement Technician to aid supervisors and project management. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team. The ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex work schedules and assist with filed operations support, is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.
We have an immediate opportunity for Asbestos Abatement Technician to apply this field of expertise to ours & to join our team in Greater Denver Colorado Area (I-25 & I-70).
Asbestos Abatement Technician Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day to day work practices including but not limited to: Asbestos Abatement, Mold Remediation, Lead Based Paint Stabilization, and other Environmental Hazards. Additional responsibilities include following all state and local regulations and procedures and Asbestos Regulation 8. The Asbestos Abatement Technician is also responsible for working closely with the Asbestos Abatement Supervisor to help monitor the work of any temporary labor.
Asbestos Abatement Technician Job Duties:
Assist Supervisor with supervision of temporary labor at job sites and at shop
Assist Supervisor with monitoring progress of projects
Assist Supervisor with ensuring proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is issued & adequately sized
Assist Supervisor with completing order forms for materials and equipment needed for specific projects
Assist Supervisor to ensure all demolition job sites are clean, complete and ready for rebuild
Participate in Safety Toolbox talks and ensure compliance with all CHE Inc safety policies
Adhere with all State, Local, OSHA and Environmental regulations
Assist as needed with any Environmental emergencies
Ensure project work meets the highest standards of workmanship based on industry and CHE Inc standards
Adhere to all company Best Practices
Provide the highest level of customer service at all times
All other duties or projects as assigned
Time is to be submitted to Accounting Department at the end of each work shift.
Maintain commonly used materials inventory.
Assist Supervisor with tracking and inventorying equipment
Tag and communicate any equipment needing service
Prepare & complete self-assessment for quarterly review
Ensure your appropriate certifications, licenses are kept updated. As well as assist with Annual Asbestos Physical remaining current.
Ensure equipment is in working condition and ready for deployment
Ensure vehicles are clean, stocked and complete vehicle maintenance log at the end of every shift, per CHE Inc specifications
Asbestos Abatement Technician Qualifications and Skills:
State Asbestos Worker ID & Asbestos 32-hour worker certificate ( If Uncertified or Unlicensed- Training/ Licensing Provided Option Available )
No Experience required/ On the job training provided (1-3 years asbestos abatement experience preferred)
Representation on CHE Inc emergency abatement on-call rotation
Must be able to travel in response to both emergency and non-emergency losses across Colorado
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal and external, throughout the project process
