We are currently seeking a Contractor to join our team and work as a Senior Solutions Developer, in Miami, FL.
Essential Job Functions:
The Senior Solutions Developer, will have a keen understanding of multi-layered programming using well known design patterns and platform specific features while protecting the results from the change in times through well-formed and industry accepted standards, such as HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery calls to RESTful web service APIs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and develop complex solutions for high performance, high availability, low maintenance and easy diagnosis of problems.
Advise developers on best methods of software development and code creation. Establish and reinforce coding standards for the development team. Perform code reviews based on standards and best practices.
Produce well formulated HTML5 and JavaScript (JQuery) to call REST web services developed in WCF, which in turn make calls to components that call into a domain model architecture to retrieve data from a SQL Server database.
Ability to quickly move from concept into design and produce full layered prototypes in a true sprint fashion, and then iterate on the prototype to get it fully aligned with the business requirements until business value is achieved.
Other responsibilities may include:
Capability to be visual instead of textual, and understand the value in modeling key technical decisions using a standardized medium (UML) to protect intellectual property and to extend existing technical decisions thereafter by creating proper business ownership of the technical artifacts created.
Values the creation of unit tests for all of the code produced and understands that embracing change in an agile environment makes sense only if adequate test coverage exists to protect us from not knowing what broke during change.
Analyze test results and implement corrective actions.
Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
Developed in Microsoft since version 2.0.
Is a master of SOLID principles and GoF Patterns.
Can develop solutions without depending on code compiler!
Knowledge of best practices for securing applications and application data.
Fully understands Claims-based authentication and membership providers.
Can create true HTML5 and leverage JQuery for AJAX type service calls.
Understand the difference between event-based programming and procedural programming.
Understand polymorphism, encapsulation, and composition vs aggregation!
Is thoroughly competent in full life cycle development.
Has the patience and ability to mentor junior developers.
Fluent in English.
Knowledge Requirements:
Six (6) years of senior level in software development using different technologies.
Four (4) years of senior level working with relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server).
Three (3) years of senior level Web 2.0 experience including RESTful APIs, Ajax, JavaScript, Ext JS, MSHTML and XML.
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture and design and usage patterns.
Demonstrable experience with developing web based UI and UX (HTML and CSS).
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2012/2013, Team Foundation Server (TFS) & GIT.
Experience with Java and JEE applications.
Healthcare software design and understanding a plus.
