Quality Improvement Manager Job Opening in Columbus, Ohio - WORKING JOB TITLE: QUALITY IMPROVEMENT MANAGER FOR EQUITABLE HEALTHCARE
JOB PREVIEW:
As the Quality Improvement Manager for Equitable Healthcare for the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), you will collaborate with stakeholders, such as, managed care plans, providers, community groups and other state agencies to develop and prioritize goals related to equitable healthcare in order to develop and refine ODM's health equity strategic plan which integrates for Healthcare Improvement's Model for Improvement.
In this position, you will independently analyze multiple sources of information and data to inform decision making regarding the strategic health equity plan, quality initiatives, and health equity policy development. You will develop and select measures for quality improvement efforts in order to assess Ohio's progress towards achieving healthcare equity.
In addition, you will represent ODM's initiatives and strategies for equitable healthcare by serving as a member on the board of the Commission for Minority Health. You will also be apart of the quality improvement imitative work groups aimed at reducing health disparities. You will communicate ODM's mission, vision, health equity strategic plan and quality initiatives to a variety of audiences through multiple methods of communication. This will include delivering presentations regarding health equity across organizational levels to leadership and to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance.
AND 12 mos. exp. in the delivery of a health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data analysis).
