Dining Room Manager Job Opening in grand rapids, Michigan - Dining Room Manager Oversee the front of the house operation for the Taste of the Gardens? Caf? in a hands-on manner. Must have at least 2 years of Management experience. Ensure all operations are consistently reflecting the established standards for quality, cleanliness and professionalism. Manage and maintain budgets, administration tasks and guest relations. Recruit, hire, and oversee staff training and development. Organize, monitor and coordinate the work of the front of the house maintaining health and legal standards, consistency in production and the promotion of a guest centric philosophy. Follow and lead by the organization?s Guiding Principles. Education and/or qualifications preferred: ? Two plus years management experience in the restaurant industry with technical knowledge, customer service and sales background ? Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to be a good customer relations person ? to meet the public and merchandise the restaurant while promoting sales ? Personable, enthusiastic and motivating with quality leadership abilities to direct, train and motivate staff ? Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the competition to identify opportunities and drive sales ? Ability to be a good administrator ? to organize the work flow and control costs while establishing focused direction and executed workloads ? Working knowledge of computers including window based email, POS systems, word processing and spreadsheets ? Must have a valid driver?s license and able to work a mixed schedule including days, nights, weekends and occasional holidays. The Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park is an EOE.
