IT Business Development Representative (Outside Sales) Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - In partnership with Indeed Hire, Mikan Associates is looking for driven Outside Sales/Business Development Representative with experience in technical service sales.
Position Summary:
As the Sales Manager, your overall responsibility is to find and win new business opportunities. You will also be responsible for nurturing and expanding existing accounts.
Key responsibilities:
Achieve sales targets through an effective collaborative approach
Work directly with potential accounts throughout the Greater Chicago area. Occasional travel to Indianapolis and Milwaukee areas.
Build a vibrant pipeline of potential clients and ensure multiple, relevant touch points.
Work collaboratively with Consulting team in their organic growth of existing accounts
Follow the Mikan Sales Process ? consistently use approved and tested Mikan Sales Collateral.
Report your target metrics on a weekly basis to the Chief Consulting Officer
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration or a closely related field required
Work Experience:
3 to 5 years? experience selling consulting services or solutions to various industries.
Proven ability to creatively address client business problems and articulate a range of possible solutions
Knowledge of mainstream data & analytics technologies -- Tableau, Microsoft SQL Server, Cassandra, Hadoop, R, Python, Informatica, SAP BI, Qlik ? and constructs
Experience leading at least 2 complex sales opportunities from lead to a win
Experience in sales campaign ideation, plan and execution

Demonstrated success in presenting to, influencing and collaborating with clients to achieve deliverables.
Client-centric approach to selling -- reliable, professional, exceeds expectations
Excellent organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated success in collaborating with consulting teams to achieve client expectations
Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills
Valid US driver?s license and reliable transportation with the ability to travel to regional client sites
