EPIDEMIOLOGIST MTM Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - POSITION SUMMARY
The Epidemiologist for the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Pilot Program will report to the Chief Medical Officer and work directly with the clinical pharmacy team on the promotion, implementation and roll out of MTM pilot program. The person selected for this position will be responsible for providing reporting and delivering status of achieved metrics of the program. This is an Executive Service position with the state of Tennessee Bureau of TennCare.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: a. Bachelors of Science degree in biology, chemistry, microbiology, medical technology, nursing or pharmacology. b. Five plus years of experience participating in teams on health care data analysis in a managed care or pharmacy setting. Competence in use of statistical software, such as SAS, for creating views or tables in Tableau, data cleaning and manipulation, and monitoring data quality. Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and experience developing projects using applications such as MS Access. Moderate to advanced level experience in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint. c. Advanced engagement experience with health care software vendors or Pharmacy Benefit Manager. d. Added Value Experiences include: Masters in Healthcare Informatics, experience with Medicaid and Medicare, Medicare Part D, claims data and previous experiences with state provided healthcare. AHIMA certification such as RHIT a plus.
