Job Summary:
MedSmart, Inc. is seeking a MRI Technologist for our radiology department in one or more of our Las Vegas area Hospital facilities. The MRI Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of MRI equipment, and for performing and communication results of diagnostic examinations using MRI.
Essential Functions:
Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic MRI examinations.
Uses cognitive MRI skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
Uses independent judgment during the MRI exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
Analyzes MRI?s, synthesizes MRI information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician.
Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the technologist?s care.
Education, Required Licenses and Certifications
Graduate of an accredited school or Radiology Technology.
CPR/BLS certification of Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
ARRT (R) (MR) Registration Required.
Requirements:
Individual must possess emotional and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
Must be able to lift, position, push and /or transfer patients.
Individual needs to pass pre-employment screening including a background check and drug test.
Hospital experience preferred.
MR Toshiba experience a BIG PLUS!
