Accounting Associate Job Opening in Normal, Illinois - Summary of Position:
The Accounting Associate will enjoy a wide variety of challenging work including providing timely and accurate financial information to clients in the areas of compilation write-ups, payroll, and sales tax. Experience preparing personal and corporate income taxes is required. The ideal Accounting Associate is looking to transition into a great firm that offers a long-term career opportunity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Providing timely and accurate financial information to clients: compiled financial statements, bank reconciliations, etc.
Data entry into accounting systems
Income tax preparation: individual, corporate, s-corp, partnership, non-profit, etc.
Management of client accounting files and communications
Maintenance of best practices documentation
Client satisfaction
Qualifications
Must have thorough understanding of accounting cycle, including GL, JEs, financial statement preparation, and financial analysis. Minimum 3 yrs experience.
Strong data management skills.
Experience utilizing spreadsheet applications.
Thrive while meeting challenging deadlines and enjoy problem solving.
Excellent written and oral communication.
