Accounts Receivable/Staff Accountant Job Opening in Wyoming, Michigan - HME, Inc. is a leading builder of World Class fire trucks and fire apparatus located in Wyoming, Michigan. We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable/Staff Accountant.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Primarily responsible for managing the entire receivables process for our manufacturing and our parts distribution operations. This will include:
invoicing and posting payments,
collections,
maintaining A/R ledgers and credit balances,
managing customer credit limits,
resolving account irregularities,
any other accounting transactions related to A/R management.
The position requires a high degree of diplomacy in dealing with our customers to provide information, problem solving and general support that facilitates timely payment of invoices and reflects positively on the Company.
STAFF ACOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance of a variety of general accounting functions, including:
creation and posting of general ledger journal entries,
account reconciliation,
other processes related to month-end closing.
The successful candidate will have:
preferably an associate bachelor degree in accounting, or equivalent experience,
experience in A/R and general accounting work in a manufacturing environment,
excellent attention to detail,
demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using accounting software.
