Assistant Controller Job Opening in Romulus, Michigan - Due to company growth, we are searching for candidates to fill a newly created position as an assistant controller. The company is a mid-sized, privately owned, multi state food service concessionaire with its corporate office in Romulus,MI. This is a fast paced, hands on position which works closely with the CFO and Controller.
The Assistant Controller will assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements thru the supervision of accounting clerical staff responsible for A/R, A/P, G/L, fixed assets, cash management and payroll. The candidate will manage the annual financial audit, account analysis and be involved in all accounting and finance functions, projects and other duties as assigned.
Candidates MUST have a minimum of a Bachelor degree in accounting.
Candidates MUST have a minimum of 3-5 years of applicable general accounting experience or public accounting auditing experience. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Microsoft Great Plains and extensive Microsoft Office applications.
