G/L Accountant Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - NORRIS & STEVENS IS ONE OF THE LARGEST LOCALLY OWNED COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE FIRMS IN OREGON & SW WASHINGTON, AND HAS A POWERFUL TRACK RECORD OF APARTMENT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT THROUGHOUT THE & Stevens is seeking a G/L Accountant for its growing multifamily real estate portfolio. The G/L Accountant will join our multifamily accounting team and will be responsible for full-charge accounting of a portfolio of properties.
Responsibilities include:
? Process all A/R & A/P; prepare bank deposits and reconcile accounts
? Prepare and execute monthly and quarterly journal entries
? Follow and execute a monthly closing process for each property under management
? Prepare monthly financial reports
? Examine reports for completeness, accuracy, or conformance to standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years property management accounting OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field.
Fundamental working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is with Skyline property management software is preferred.
This position requires an extremely high level of attention to detail.
Successful candidates will be self-starters who take ownership of their assigned portfolio. Successful candidates will also diligently plan and follow a monthly accounting calendar and will take pride in providing monthly financials with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
