Billing / Payroll Clerk Job Opening in San Antonio, Texas - Position Summary
The Billing/Payroll Clerk is accountable to the Billing Office Supervisor/Designee and is responsible for performing Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurance Billing accordance with regulatory requirements and CHAP standards. They will enter all time sheets for approval from the Payroll Manager and Complying with policies and procedures and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern Home Health/Hospice agencies.
Qualifications
High School graduate, G.E.D or equivalent.
Have 2 ? 3 years experience in Medical billing and minimum 1 year Payroll exp..
Able to type accurately at least 50 words per minute and be familiar with medical terminology and computer formats.
Pleasant, with a congenial and professional interoffice attitude.
Self motivated with the ability to follow directions.
Essential Position Responsibilities :
Responsible for the weekly billing of Raps and EOE?s.
Responsible for weekly Hospice and Staffing Billing and bi-monthly HHP Billing
Responsible for weekly Hospice data entry of all time and attendance.
Responsible for verifying all information, insuring that it is accurately entered and printed on appropriate forms.
Verifies receipt of electronic billing.
Run bi-weekly billing logs for private insurance/MDC along with previous unbilled and distributes to each location for auditing.
Completes bi-weekly billing & payroll.
Completes monthly patient billing.
Responsible for maintaining Medicare compliance with ICD-9 codes, billing codes, and procedures.
Responsible for denials and corrections or updates of denials.
Responsible for keeping un-reimbursed current.
Provides reports as requested.
Assists accounting department as well as payroll with balance of financial reports and providing them.
