Chief Financial Officer Job Opening in Houston, Texas - SUN Behavioral Health, Inc. is actively seeking a Chief Financial Officer for their Houston, TX free-standing 148 bed behavioral health hospital.
The CFO role provides daily financial leadership for the facility, including oversight of patient registration, billing, collections, payroll, and accounts payable functions. Responsible for ensuring that internal controls are adequate to safeguard facility assets and that accounting systems are sufficient to generate accurate and timely financial reports. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications with professional written and verbal communication skills.
Hospital Management: Develops departmental relationships and accountability
Departmental Management: Educates and strategizes best practices with employees
Facility Operations: Improves and maintains the fiduciary accountability within the hospital. Ensures financial processes are implemented and followed.
Departmental Operations: Reports daily indicators and guides performance based on this data. Ensures all areas of direct responsibility are efficient and effective daily.
Developmental: Contributes financial expertise in the planning of new opportunities that generate additional community product lines.
Process Structure: Develops, implements and monitors policies and procedures in collaboration with the corporate office. Ensures GAAP and all other regulatory compliance is maintained.
Analysis: Preparing monthly financial statements and other analytical reports as required. Ensures facility financials are external audit ready at all times.
Forecasting: Prepares the annual budget.
Requirements for this position include:
Bachelors degree in Accounting required
Minimum of 5 years healthcare experience
Ability to maintain confidential information concerning financial, personnel, and medical matters
