Endoscopy (RN) Manager/ASC Manager Job Opening in Atlanta, Georgia - As an integral member of our team, the successful RN Manager candidate will be focused on ? patient advocacy and delivering the highest quality of care to our patients . Working in an evidence-based nursing environment that commands excellence every day, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to our patients in our facility. You will be responsible for overseeing the nursing care service in the facility with concentration on quality assurance, administration and regulatory compliance including accreditation requirements with the AAAHC.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Current unencumbered Georgia Registered Nurse license
ACLS and BLS Certifications
Two years of clinical experience as an RN in an acute care or Ambulatory Surgical Center setting required.
Ambulatory surgery center management experience is required
Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) accreditation experience required
Education
BSN required; MSN preferred or master?s in business, health administration or other related field.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General
Participates in facility committees, meetings, in-services, and activities
Has input into short and long-term goals for the facility
Maintains cleanliness, sterility, and operational ability of facility and equipment
Recommends need for new/different items regarding present and new trends and needs of the facility
Reports discrepancies to administrator in services provided by contracted providers, i.e., pathology, anesthesia, housekeeping, etc
Communication
Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
Interactions with others are positive, respectful, and considerate
Promotes effective communication between the clinical areas and the business office and physician's practice
Financial Practices
Promotes cost containment and efficient use of facility resources
Analyzes clinical areas and makes recommendations for potential cost-effective improvements
Monitors FTE utilization and makes recommendations to promote cost effective man-hour practices
Conducts cost analyses to promote cost-effective practices
Makes suggestions on purchasing equipment and supplies to provide optimum patient care within budgetary allowances
Compliance Program
Assists in the implementation and maintenance of the organization's Compliance Program. Is responsible to maintain all CLIA/CMS/AAAHC certification.
Performs according to established compliance policies and procedures
Performance Improvement Program
Assists in the implementation and maintenance of the organization's policies, and procedures
Performs according to established performance improvement policies and procedures
Evaluates suggestions, grievances and processes to identify opportunities to improve performance and quality of care
Monitors patient care programs and reviews procedures and outcome standards and criteria
Safety/Risk Management Program
Adheres to safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities
Implements practices and regulations adopted to provide safety in the healthcare environment
Monitors the facility's physical environment and initiates methods for maintaining safety, comfort, cleanliness and orderliness; reports physical environment status to the Administrator
Works with management to resolve observed or suspected safety violations, hazards, and policy and procedure noncompliance
Competently responds to emergency situations
Keeps track and report of all incidents occurring in the ASC.
Assures that OSHA requirements are being met by clinical staff and that supplies are readily available
Ensures proper temperature, humidity, ventilation, and lighting to provide a comfortable and safe working environment and reports deficiencies in any of these areas to administrator
Manages the infection control program within the ASC.

Maintains professional competence by participating in continuing education and other learning experiences
Contributes to growth and education of staff by sharing knowledge gained in continuing education
Maintains membership in relevant professional organizations

Assists with comprehensive and informative orientation programs for new employees in all clinical areas
Patient Care
Applies accepted clinical nursing principles and practices to patient care activities in the facility
Coordinates patient care activities with surgeons and anesthesia providers to provide continuity of patient care
Assists facility staff in identifying and solving nursing care problems
Oversees all nursing activities during an emergency to verify that patient needs are met
Participates in primary care of patients as needed and oversees clinical areas to verify that patient needs are met
Enforces the implementation of nursing practice standards and licensing and accreditation rules and regulations to provide quality patient care
Recommends revision in patient care policies and procedures as necessary to conform to accepted principles and practices
Respects patient's right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
Supervises care of the operating room area and the equipment to ensure cleanliness, sterility, and operational ability at all times
Controls traffic to help prevent infections
Daily Operations
Coordinates and monitors operational activities for effective and efficient management of daily operation, reports deficiencies to the Administrator
Prepares staffing schedules, effectively coordinating vacations and holidays
Prepares daily personnel assignments and delegates duties per experience and skill level to provide quality patient care
Coordinates and cross-trains clinical staff to create a productive work environment for all clinical areas
Reviews daily time and attendance sheets and maintains attendance log
Coordinates scheduling of procedures with scheduling personnel
Responsible for evaluating the performance of all clinical personnel and for assessing and continuously improving the quality of care and services
Assists in counseling clinical employees and makes recommendations for salary adjustments, promotions and/or termination
Observes performance of all clinical staff members and provides feedback to administration
Interprets and implements established facility policies and procedures
Analyzes clinical documentation to ensure facility's policies/procedures are being followed
Serves as a liaison between patients, families, nursing and medical staff to coordinate quality patient care
Promotes harmonious relations and favorable attitudes among the healthcare team- serves as a resource and role model for the staff
Materials Management
Applies material management principles to establish procedures for use
Promotes cost-effectiveness and implements procedures to control waste
Monitors the care and cleaning of equipment to maintain proper working condition
Identifies and evaluates need for items relative to trends and physician requests
Reviews inventory for availability of supplies and equipment necessary to meet patient needs
Oversees inventory, maintaining adequate supplies and equipment and providing for their economical use
