This position directs the marketplace-level activities of an outside sales team for the company. This position is highly focused on field-level activity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Accountable to the Senior Leadership Team, specifically the Director Outside Sales and other stakeholders, for successful outside sales division development and management. Among other things this position will function as interface with functional managers, integrator of processes, manager of staff, coordinator of resources, coordinator of standards and methods, mentor, training coordinator, and point of interface between the outside sales organization and department heads. Position has direct, city and/or marketplace level responsibility and accountability for the division�s success while simultaneously directing one or more Sales Representatives. Has responsibility maintaining standard use departmental documentation and project deliverable templates, including CRM, business plans and any documentation as required for company practice, policy or regulatory requirement. Guides and trains others in the use of the methodology and tools. Manage and evaluate Sales Representatives on their performance against established unit and revenue goals, determine and/or monitor city or marketplace-level environmental risk factors and issues; create and direct mitigation plans and assume responsibility for identifying and coordinating resolution of all technical and business issues. Responsible for ensuring Business Unit/Divisional staff assigned to work in a given role meet their required commitment(s) to the department and escalating any non-compliance to appropriate stakeholders. Position has additional responsibility for working in collaboration with other Business Unit and/or Departmental Managers for company and organizational success. Also carries out direct supervisory responsibilities for Branch Managers and other direct reports, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Special Requirements (if any): Strategic deployment skills, a broad level of technology. understanding and a substantial level of customer relationship and behavior acumen. Experience assisting in developing and integrating successful sales programs, including budget, forecast, training and compensation plans. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic work environment. Proven ability to work closely with all areas of an organization as a business partner. Demonstrated ability as a team leader with a focus on working cross functionally. Position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, including the development and delivery of presentations, along with excellent organizational, motivational, listening and training & recruitment skills. Successful track record of consistently achieving programmatic results is required, along with superior time and resource management skills.
