Job Location: Houston, TX
Summary:
The Software Developer will develop, enhance and/or maintain proprietary processing software systems used in the Oil/Gas and Seismic industries. Design, code, debug, and test software Write and maintain software specifications. Develop software per the company?s coding standards and practices. Support application integration efforts by writing small utility applications as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
3+ years geophysical programming experience in C/ C++ in the Linux environment. Experience developing with Fortran is a plus.
2+ years using QT libraries 4.0 or greater.
Experience in distributed processing development using OpenMP and MPI.
Experience with graphical libraries using OpenGL is a plus.
2+ years experience developing applications for seismic processing
Must enjoy computer programming and working in a team environment sharing knowledge
Be able to problem solve and maintain existing source code.
Good communication skills are needed to work with end-users answering questions to problems
Skills:
A candidate with a strong math background, good attention to detail, logical thought processes, and a strong work ethic will do well in this position. A candidate must also be eager to learn and willing to accept challenging assignments.
Education:
Degree in Computer Science. A degree in Math or Geosciences will be considered.
