Controller - Manufacturing Job Opening in Biddeford, Maine - Description Administer the financial function for AVX Biddeford Operations. Work closely with department heads to maximize profitability, to protect the Company's assets and to ensure adherence to Corporate Financial Polices and SOX.
Requirements Ensure effective systems, procedures and staff to maintain accurate books of accounting and other financial records to ensure timely and accurate data for reporting and analysis. Manage general accounting functions, accounts payable, fixed assets, cost accounting, standard cost intercompany accounts, & etc. Supervise and review work of others. Manage preparation of budgets and monthly/quarterly forecast. Control and perform analysis and of capital and major expense proposals. Identify profit opportunities and assist in implementation of profit improvement projects. Prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments. Advise and make recommendations to management regarding activities that are in conflict with profit objectives. Responsible for reviewing and analyzing the plant balance sheet, accruals reserves. Travel as necessary.
