Software Development Engineer Job Opening in Santa Barbara, California - Position:
Resonant Inc. seeks a Member of Technical Staff (Software Development Engineer) to join our product development team. The successful candidate will work closely with a tightly-knit team of electrical and software engineers and physicists to support our operations for advanced design tools for novel RF (Radio Frequency) filters for high-volume production. Required Qualifications:
BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent
3+ years of experience in a software development team preferably as a Software Developer
1+ years working with heavily numerical code using Matlab, numPy, C++ or similar environment.
Strong written and verbal English skills to support complex documentation
Ability to work well in a small group environment
Willingness to jump in and take on new tasks to support the team
Responsibilities:
Support, maintain and extend our engineering design suite. Proactively observe engineering practices and recommend systems to solve problems or alleviate pain points. Work closely with both internal and external software development resources as well as design engineers.
Desired skills:
Design and development experience with engineering software design tools
Proficiency working in both Linux and Microsoft Windows environments
Proficiency working with numerical code in Matlab, numPy or similar environment.
Familiarity with Python, Perl, Ruby, or other scripting language(s)
Ability to read and comprehend code in C/C++. C#.
Familiarity with linear algebra libraries BLAS, LAPACK, PARDISO etc?
Familiarity with version control systems e.g. git, SVN, CVS
Familiarity with Jira or other similar issue and project tracking systems
Familiarity with SQL and databases
Familiarity with working in Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, EFS, ?)
Familiarity with HTC/HPC cluster computing schedulers (e.g. TORQUE, PBS, HTCondor) desirable
Strong product experience from inception to customer delivery
Experience with RF products and systems desirable
