Job Description:
BCMC has an immediate opening for a Cyber Remedy Developer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation?s core services and systems. Employee will work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The Cyber Remedy Developer will be responsible for providing technical support in requirements development, concept development, research and development, integration and test, and performance analysis on a BMC Remedy system. The candidate will serve as a contributor in the development of Remedy solutions which require regular use of ingenuity and creativity with a high degree of technical sophistication.
The candidate will function with general direction, and will have frequent interactions. Specific responsibilities include:
Expert knowledge of administering and programming of BMC Remedy ARS
Develop and administrator BMC Remedy ARS applications and implementation of new functionality including forms, workflow, notifications, filters, escalations, menus, and other related components
Responsible for upgrading, installing, and configuring the BMC Remedy ARS, Mid Tier, CMDB, Incident, Problem, Asset, SLM, Service Request (ITSM suite), Dashboard and Analytics, and Knowledge Management
Provide application support including developing technical documentation, assisting with the development of end-user documentation, interfacing with application owners and the IT Help Desk, and properly tracking all support efforts
Use an Agile development approach for projects
Responsible for integrating ARS with a database engine and email engine
Create process, data and workflow models for integration with third party components
Maintain existing business processes and implement new processes using Remedy ARS and other components
Support the conduct of Integration & Test activities, including integration of software and hardware at the system level, conduct of tests and evaluation of test results, and performance of system-level requirements verification.
Adhere to DHS development / architecture standards and methodologies
Excellent oral and written communication
Understands ITIL best practices and experience in implementing the framework
Experience in surveying the customer to analyze user requirements and provide recommendations to ensure adherence to best practices
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related technical field is required (or equivalent experience), plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.
Clearance Requirements:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Candidates must be able to obtain DHS Suitability. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
