Sales Analyst and Forecaster Job Opening in Coventry, Rhode island - Summary:
Evaluation of sales results for products that are launched and those in product development that will be launched in future. Analyze industry trends and develop future sales forecasts.
The successful candidate will work with a variety of teams such as Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and the Sales departments and will be responsible for analysis of a wide range of data, working closely with colleagues in budgeting, forecasting, and planning sales.
Examples of the types of projects include trend identification, trend cause/effect analysis, etc.
Regular reporting will be required.
Dataset used will include actual sales (units and dollars) by customer, by contract by product strength, production forecasts, inventory levels, etc. Ensure all budgets and forecasts agree to iContracts data.
The candidate will communicate project results with persons at all levels of the organization
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing sales forecasts by contract by customer by strength. Monitoring industry trends. Review and track competitive activity including pricing trends.
Report, evaluate, and make recommendations based on short-, mid-, and long-term growth plans.
Interact with Contract Group (pricing committee) and Finance to support pricing recommendations and GTN calculations
Keep appropriate personnel inside and outside of Commercial organization informed of risks and opportunities to forecasts
Liaise with Finance to ensure consistent reporting of Net Sales vs. forecast
Incorporate and stay abreast of industry forecasting best practices inside and outside of the pharmaceutical industry
Assist in the Preparation of Board presentations with emphasis on ensuring that all Sales budgets and sales forecasts are communicated effectively and professionally
Coordinate with Supply Chain team on all S&OP schedules, forecasts, trends, etc. Ensure alignment with production plans and sales forecasts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree required. Master?s Degree preferred. Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in forecast planning. Strong analytical skills. IMS database knowledge preferred.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Analytical review of current pharmaceutical trends and expected future trends. Analyze historical sales performance and establish forecast for future sales objectives.
Work closely with VP of Sales and Marketing, Sales and Marketing personnel, Business development personnel, Finance, and the Supply Chain Group (production planning and inventory levels)
Will work closely with VP of Sales and Marketing to establish forecasts and budgets.
Regular communication with the following departments: LB&D, Finance, Supply Chain
