Hotel General Manager Job Opening in Jackson, Mississippi - We have a great opportunity for the right experienced and motivated General Manager candidate for the Hampton Inn and Suites Jackson Coliseum MS that is currently under renovation. General Manager responsibilities to oversee the overall management of the property including developing and executing business plans, building and leading a great team of associates, housekeeping, and maintenance. Idea candidate will demonstrate a hands on management style and must be able to balance revenue generation, cost controls, profits, guest satisfaction, associate satisfaction, and maintain product quality, and cleanliness. *Must be a Leader with a drive for bottom line results *Minimum of 5 years experience as a General Manager for a branded hotel chain *GM experience with Hampton Inn and Suites will be given first consideration *Must be a highly motivated, self-directed person with a strong desire for achievement *Excellent communication and presentation skills *Passion for excellent Guest Services *Ability to attract, train, coach, and supervise great associates *Develop and lead property sales efforts *Technical Skills preferred-Microsoft Word: Outlook, Internet, and Experience with hotel reservation revenue management systems, and accounting systems.
Requirements:
The individual applying for the general manager position must have no less than 5 years experience with Hampton preferred. This position is located in the Jackson MS area. Prior training is a tremendous plus for the applicant. The individual must be able to work well with co-workers and with the general public. We put our guest first at every hotel, and will expect no less from the general manager. It is very important to have a positive attitude in every task given, and create a positive morale in the hotel. The individual must know how to run reports, be aggressive in sales, and be available at all times if needed.
