In addition to our own range of sailcloth and sailmaking hardware products, we are the exclusive United States distributors of Plastimo ® safety products, Yale ® cordage and rope, Karver ® sailing equipment, wattandsea ® hydro-generators and Italwinch windlasses.
This career opportunity is within our Protective Materials Division - cover guard ®, the world's leading flame retardant line of surface protection products. Due to recent growth in this division we are seeking an outside sales person [hunter] to contribute to our expansion and future development in our Huntington Beach, CA location. This knowledgeable professional will be trained on our product lines, targeted industries, and how to effectively develop sales within the markets we serve. Travel during approximately 20 weeks per year is required to expand our network of resellers, as well as calling on potential end users. Territory includes CA, AZ, NV, NM, OR, WA, ID, and UT. Knowledge and prior experience selling construction products, is a plus. We will compensate the successful candidate with competitive salary, bonus, full benefits, and reimbursable travel expenses.
Responsibilities include increasing sales by hunting out prospective customers through:
Researching through various media [print, broadcast, and internet]
Cold calling by phone
Outside calls to prospects
Trade shows
Other responsibilities will include:
Service existing customers, through phone follow up and customer visits
Make joint calls and further training with existing resellers
Develop marketing strategies and sales campaigns
