Financial Controller Job Opening in New York, New york - FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
A growing and exciting ecommerce subscription box company located in the New Jersey/New York area is seeking an experienced controller with a proven track record to join our Accounting and Finance Department.
Key Requirements for Consideration:
Must be a CPA
Must reside in the New York / New Jersey area
Must have E Commerce Experience
Must have Public Company experience

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting
Prepare timely monthly financial statements
Prepare budgets, collect, analyze and consolidate financial data
Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
Manage production of annual budget and forecasts
Management
Monitor financial policies and procedures
Monitor and confirm financial condition; provide information to external auditors
Transactions
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Process payroll in a timely manner
Schedule expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions in accordance with the company?s budget objective
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system (digital and physical)
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years experience as a Financial Controller or working in an accounting department
Advanced degree in Accounting (CPA or CMA preferred)
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Fluent accounting software user and administration skills
Fluency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Quickbooks
Excellent interpersonal skills
Highest ethical standards and conduct
