Position Overview:
The Advanced Therapies (AT) division of Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. is looking for an Application Test Engineer to test Cardiac Cath Lab products on system-integration, , test automation and verification levels. The test engineer will be responsible for execution, quality and on time delivery of work packages assigned. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in product testing & test automation development. This position will work cross-functional in an organization with large and diverse teams.
Responsibilities:
Development of System Verification Procedures Manual and automated tests for Windows-based angiography products.
Reviewing of Specifications Crosscheck and/or clarification for usability, testability, design, implementation, etc., all with respect to product requirement and functional specifications.
Development of Automation tests Architect, develop/maintain, and implement automated functional and endurance/load tests based upon manual test procedures and end-user workflows using C#, VB scripting.
Execution of Verification Procedures - Run automated test, identify problems with potential causes, and report on findings. Participation on Change Control Board.
Cross-functional determination of priority, severity of problems found along with timeline and target versioning for resolutions.
Tracing of Test Procedures to Requirements.
Ensure that all requirements have corresponding test cases to ensure solid system coverage and testing of with Customers. Occasionally travel to hospital sites to observe and obtain workflows for accurate simulation in the test labs.*
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in CS, CE.
Minimum 5 years of experience in test automation development or software development & software testing.
Thorough understanding of software development methodology and lifecycle.
Strong working knowledge of industry-standard testing methodology.
Extensive knowledge and experience in test automation (Ranorex,QTP, WinRunner, or SilkTest)Excellent knowledge and experience with test plan management tools (Quality Center, TFS)Experience with any of: C#, VB scipting, Python.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate information between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to effectively interact in a team environment with local and off-shore test and development engineers
Strong quality orientation and customer focus. Produce excellent results with minimal supervision.
Strong analytic and decision-making skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
Occasional domestic and international travel required (< 20%).*
