Systems Administrator/DevOps Job Opening in Evanston, Illinois - Cardinal-Holdings is looking for a Systems with a background in system operations, an affinity for software development and comfortable in being an all-around generalist. As a Systems , your primary role is to maintain the existing web application infrastructure and play a key role in the architecture construction of our new cloud environments. A successful candidate requires a strong skillset in system administration, scripting, and troubleshooting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Development and IT teams to troubleshoot issues and identify bottlenecks
Diagnose and resolve incidents in all web application environments
Document Standard Operating Procedures
Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform performance analysis and system tuning
Manage, maintain, and improve the Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
Propose and implement projects to improve and automate the development processes
Respond to emergency production issues and assist with deployments
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor?s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent job experience
5+ years Windows system and network administration
3+ years troubleshooting - applications, environments (IIS, MSSQL, etc.)
3+ years PowerShell scripting experience
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Knowledge of Cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
Team Services: configure a build; create an automated CI/CD pipeline
Knowledge of at least one programming language ( / C#)
