Job Description:
The Front-End Web Developer will develop web-based software for accessing and presenting GIS-oriented information, using agile development methodologies. Key activities include:
Demonstrate advanced level of proficiency in the ArcGIS Server API for JavaScript, Dojo, AMD, Modular design, NodeJS, Grunt, Bower, Git and Agile SDLC
Design patterns for developing high-quality, scalable applications
Develop software components for a modern application and its accompanying infrastructure
Develop large scale browser-based JavaScript applications with mapping functionalities
Utilize HTML5 and CSS3 capabilities
Participate in team efforts to create a sustainable, scalable application platform
Develop process improvements
Provide clear, concise documentation for code and other development artifacts
The Front-End Web Developer position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. Additional requirements include: US citizen or Permanent Resident and must have lived and worked in the US for the past five years.
Required Skills/Credentials:
B.S. in Computer Science, Geography or related field
Six (6) years of performing software engineering activities
JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Dojo, AMD and REST services
Build sophisticated front-end software grounded in standards, compatibility, testing, and high performance
This position can be Full Time/Part Time
Must be US citizen or Green Card Holder and must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Desired Skills:
Familiar with GIS concepts and spatial analysis
