Grounds & Facilities Operator Job Opening in austin, Texas - Grounds & Facilities Operator The Grounds and Facilities Operator (GFO) will perform a variety of tasks necessary to achieve a pleasant and functional outdoor environment. GFO will rake, trim, trees, clean public restrooms, pick up trash, clean retention ponds, make trail repairs and otherwise ensure the grounds, facilities and parks are attractive, orderly, and healthy. GFO uses hand tools such as shovels, rakes, axes, handsaws and will also use a variety of power tools. Job may involve heavy lifting, use of equipment such as tractors and twin-axle vehicles. May paint, perform janitorial duties and make repairs as needed. Responsible for keeping District facilities in a clean and safe manner. This position has a variety of additional job duties.
