Advance Practice Registered Nurse (Patient Care Medical Home, Family Medicine) ? Perform as primary care practitioner for enrolled patients and provide quality, comprehensive, advance primary healthcare and health maintenance service to TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries. Consult with other healthcare providers regarding evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients. Make appropriate entries within TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries health care serve records.
Make appropriate entries in the Composite Healthcare Computer System (CHCS) to document, refer, and order any and all procedures, test and prescriptions. If necessary utilizes the appropriate hardcopy for if CHCS in not operational.
Treat patients who may have complex combinations of medical, surgical and psychiatric problems.
Must demonstrate expertise in the clinical assessment and understanding of forensic implications of assault, abuse and neglect. Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems.
Qualifications:
Must have and maintain a license for the advanced practice level in accordance with the U.S. jurisdiction requirement of their currently held RN license.
Must have and maintain an unencumbered state license, with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse action, in any state in the United States, District of Columba, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the Virgin Islands.
Be board certified by a nationally recognized certifying body ? either the American Nurse?s Credentialing Center, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner, the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses or the National Certifications Corporation.
Be currently trained, certified and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through an American Heart Association hands on training program. No on-line course will be accepted.
Experience: Must have a minimum three (3) years of experience as a licensed, board certified APRN with continuous experience during the last twelve (12) months
Must be able to pass background investigation; Must be a graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $110,000.00 to $150,000.00 /year
