Director of Compliance Job Opening in Las Vegas, Nevada - Summary:
The Director of Compliance inspects the quality of care provided, improves the process, and educates staff members to carry out the identified quality improvements. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Clinical Operations.
Qualifications:
Possesses experience with implementation of Quality Improvement projects in a multi-site hospice.
Successful experiential knowledge of the Additional Development Request (ADR)/ Focused Medical Review (FMR) Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) process.
Experience with Joint Commission Accreditation.
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to others in a healthcare setting.
Superlative communication skills, both verbal and written.
Possesses an active RN license in all states of the program?s licensure.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) accreditation preferred.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Compliance is that member of the senior management team who directly impacts, creates and manages quality every day by organizing and evaluating compliance with the Medicare Conditions of Participation through all aspects of the hospice program including, but not limited to the supervision of the Quality Assurance Program. This position achieves and maintains competency in the areas of ADR/FMR, OSHA, HIPAA, and all state and federal regulation compliance as well as corrective action follow-up. The Director of Compliance collaborates with the hospice team on QAPI projects, directs QAPI committee activities, supervises the CQI nurse, all Quality Assurance and Medical Records processes, oversees the entire ADR/FMR process to ensure timeliness of response from the fiscal intermediary, and oversees training on OSHA and HIPAA for the entire staff. The Director of Compliance is also responsible for receiving, reviewing and distributing all Medicare Bulletins for the hospice programs, conducting mock surveys, and assuring survey preparedness as well as corrective action follow-up. Is an active member of the Corporate Management Team, produces monthly CQI reports for Management Meetings, and participates as such in all aspects of program development and compliance. This position also presides as the privacy officer.
